Higher Grounds is a vibrant, non-denominational church founded by Bishop Ford in October 2000, nestled in the heart of Plaquemine, LA. What began with just a handful of members has grown into a thriving fellowship united under the mission of “Advancing the Kingdom by the Power of God.”
For more than 15 years, Higher Grounds has been dedicated to transforming lives, helping individuals find deliverance, and uncovering their God-given purpose. Our faith-driven community, though rooted in Plaquemine, extends its embrace to members across Baton Rouge, Baker, Prairieville, and beyond—reaching out-of-state believers with plans to establish campuses in other countries.
At Higher Grounds, we believe our service goes beyond the four walls of the church. Our Helping Hands Ministry is committed to making a tangible difference, providing meals to those in need, offering free clothing, and hosting Toys 2 Tots for children. During times of crisis, such as natural disasters, we have extended support by offering clothing, cleaning supplies, water, and monetary aid to those affected.
We stand firm in our mission to serve not only the body of Christ but also our communities, living out our call to be the hands and feet of God in every capacity.
